We never see your full card details. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments and PayPal.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
Only the companies that help us run the shop: Shopify (our website and checkout), PayPal (payments), DPD (to deliver your parcel), Kbite (back-in-stock alerts), Mailchimp (our newsletter) and Xero (our accounts). Some of these companies store data outside the UK. Where they do, that data is protected by UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.
Shopify also uses customer data from our shop, combined with data from other shops that use Shopify, to run features such as site search, product recommendations and the Shop app. Shopify doesn’t share your details with other shops.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Order and accounting records are normally kept for six years, as the law requires. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Back-in-stock details are kept until the alert has been sent or is no longer needed. Customer service emails are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to support your order, answer enquiries or resolve disputes.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, delete your data, receive a copy of it, restrict how we use it or object to certain uses. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of each email. Email hello@laatu.store and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
